Life can be so hectic at times so making a little regular time during pregnancy to relax is one of the most beneficial things you can do from week 12 onwards of your pregnancy for mind and body health and the wellbeing of your baby.
This recording will gently soothe and calm your mind and body.
When you take a few minutes daily to relax the mind and body in these ways you are not only teaching your body how to relax and replenish your energy as your pregnancy advances, but you are also helping your baby learn to relax too which means your baby is more likely to be calmer and better natured when the time comes to adjust to this exciting new world following birth.
Of course, one major advantage of helping your mind and body learn to instinctively relax and retain a sense of calmness is that when labour and birth begin, you can learn to trust that your body knows what to do, letting you turn your birthing body over to your natural instincts so you can bring your baby into this world in the most natural and effective way.
This relaxation can be listened to from week 12 of pregnancy and during the birth if required.

Keeping Affirmations Simple
Affirmations work because we are creatures of habit and we tend to learn by repetition - doing, thinking or saying something over and over leads to new beliefs and new learnings within us. Affirmations work because we are creatures of habit and we tend to learn by repetition - doing, thinking or saying something over and over leads to new beliefs and new learnings within us. The unconscious mind makes changes in two ways. One is by repetition of statements that we make to ourselves, either out loud or in our own heads.
As human beings we are creatures of habit, and as such we tend to learn by repetition – doing, thinking, saying something over and over, sometimes many times over, in order to believe or do something new. The unconscious mind takes on board suggestions in two ways, one by the use of hypnosis (a swift and easy way to create lasting positive change through your thoughts) and the second way in the form of Affirmations – statements that a person makes to oneself, that are worded in the present tense, are positive and directional.
When these statements are repeated consciously through thought or speech, over time, the mind takes on these statements as ideas, it overrides any previous negative 'thought programming' and replaces them with the new positive 'thought programming'. Look upon it, if you will, as a way of 're-wiring' the brain in an extremely positive way. All it takes is time, repetition and patience. If each thought the mind entertains is positively focussed in the present tense the mind will take you towards this as it believes this is what you are wanting.
This has amazing benefits in that it helps your body to release any tension, aids the working muscles of your body throughout pregnancy, labour and birth, creates a growing admiration and respect for yourself and your baby are just a few of the positive benefits of repeating affirmations. Women that have actively allowed themselves to follow these gentle statements with their mind experience a sense of feeling calm and empowered both throughout pregnancy labour and birth.
These can be repeated through your thoughts or simply in the sentences you may choose to speak outloud to yourself. Equally, this recording, as it is not hypnotic, if you choose can be played in the background whilst you are working, relaxing generally, cooking, travelling on public transport, and at a whole host of other times of your choosing, things. This last word doesn't make sense to me. In essence, if what you are looking to achieve is a calm, gentle birth, entering into this from a position of positivity, trust and confidence then 're-programming' the mind in this way will give you what you seek.
These three tracks have been especially prepared for pregnancy, the day of your birth and breastfeeding to take you right through from now until after the birth.

Keeping Breathing for Labour Simple

The key to a calmer, more comfortable experience of your birth is to let your body do the work. Being relaxed during birth will allow your body to release the necessary hormones and chemicals to ensure a gentle birth. You simply need to release all fear, let your body take over, remain relaxed and breathe through each contraction.
The key to a calmer, more comfortable experience of your birth is to release all fear, let your body take over, remain relaxed and to learn to breath into and release out through each contraction.
This has amazing benefits in that it helps your body to release any tension, aids the working muscles of your uterus and the more relaxed your remain, the more manageable the contractions become and this includes those that are very effective as your labour progresses. It is this physical state of deep relaxation that enables you to work with your body and baby, therefore dramatically reducing and oftentimes eliminating discomfort. A further benefit is that the first stage is often reduced by several hours. Focusing on your breathing is an excellent method of moving your body and mind into a more relaxed state
Women that have followed these simple techniques experience a sense of feeling calm and empowered whilst relaxing and focussing only on their breathing through each contraction. It may be helpful to remember that by using your relaxation breathing to maintain your internal focus, particularly as labour progresses, will greatly enhance the effectiveness of the specialist breathing techniques here that work to help you maintain a better level of comfort throughout each contraction as it arrives, enabling you to go deeper within (into the zone if you like!).
With a 5 minute daily practice from as early as 12 weeks into your pregnancy (perhaps before you get out of bed of a morning, or before you go to sleep at night or even whilst sat in traffic or on the train or tube on the way to work) throughout your pregnancy will condition the body to respond in a relaxed calm gentle way when the time comes for your labour to begin.
